What we coverನಾವು ವರದಿ ಮಾಡುವ ವಿಷಯಗಳು

Our reporting is organised into the sections below. We focus on stories that mainstream outlets tend to miss: community events and achievements, temple and cultural traditions, local health and welfare information, and the everyday economic life of the region.

Who we areನಮ್ಮ ತಂಡ

Billavavani is operated by Pushparaj G, who is also responsible for what we publish and can be reached at billavaavani@gmail.com. There is no separate company behind the site — Billavavani is the publication itself.

Our newsroom is small. Articles are written and edited by our own staff and by named contributors from the community; each article carries the name of the person responsible for it.

Our editorial standardsನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಪಾದಕೀಯ ಮಾನದಂಡಗಳು

  • Accuracy first. We verify names, dates, places and figures before publishing, and we prefer to be late over being wrong.
  • Corrections. When we get something wrong we correct the article and say what changed. Write to us and we will look into it promptly.
  • Attribution. We credit our sources, and we do not republish other outlets’ work as our own.
  • Clear labelling. Advertising and sponsored content are labelled as such and are kept visually separate from editorial content.
  • Independence. Advertisers have no influence over what we report. See our Disclaimer for the limits of the information we publish.
